Where to find cheap Easter eggs

Easter may still be a few weeks away but the supermarkets are already slashing prices in order to get customers filling up their baskets.

Instead of wasting time visting each shop for the best price, here we’ve rounded up the prices on offer at Tesco, Sainsbury’s and Asda, with the help of the website MySupermarket.

Below, you can find the latest prices by brand for some of the most popular eggs (the cheapest price for each product is bolded).

It's always worth keeping an eye on budget supermarket websites, such as Lidl and Aldi, which frequently have good offers, along with shops like Morrison's and Waitrose. Your local newsagent or grocery shop is also a good shout if you're looking for some chocolate deals, especially as it gets nearer to Easter.

If you wait till a couple of weeks after Easter there are plenty of cheap Easter Eggs around - a no brainer. Chocolate usually contains a high percentage of vegetable fat and the amount of cocoa butter and solids is regulated by law in terms of description. Actually, the chocolates with more cocoa content are usually harder less palatable to British buyers.
