Premium Bonds winning numbers

Are you the winner of a big prize in August’s Premium Bonds draw?

Two lucky Premium Bond holders from Somerset and Cornwall have won the £1 million jackpot prizes in the eighth draw of 2016.

Back in June the number of prizes handed out in the draw were slashed and the average return for bond holders was cut from 1.35% to 1.25%. The change means the odds of picking up a prize each month has moved from 26,000 to one, to 30,000 to one.

So it's a lot harder to win a cash prize with Premium Bonds than it used to be, but if you still have holdings check below to see if one of your numbers managed to beat the odds and scoop one of August’s top prizes:

If your numbers haven't come up in a while, or ever, it might be worth looking at moving your money to somewhere where it will earn interest. At the moment, some current accounts, such as Nationwide FlexDirect and TSB Classic Plus, are paying up to 5%.
