For those mourning the demise of Orange Wednesdays, EE has announced a film club which allows you to watch new releases, blockbusters and classics at home for just £1.

From 30th March, mobile and broadband users on EE, Orange and T-Mobile can access the service through connected devices including smartphones, tablets, laptops, games consoles, Smart TVs and the EE TV app.

The new service is provided through Wuaki.tv. It has some well-known recent titles like Gone Girl, Interstellar and Mr Turner as well as more obscure films such as White Bird in a Blizzard.

"Changing customer behaviour" is behind the move, according to the firm, with EE/YouGov polls stating that one in three adults download or stream films every week. Over 50% of respondents said that they download or stream films and TV every month.

How to use it

[SPOTLIGHT]Luckily for cinema buffs, the process isn't that different to Orange Wednesdays. Just grab your mobile and text ‘film’ to 141. You’ll receive a code which is to be used between Monday and Wednesday at the Wuaki.tv checkout.

Texts cost 35p and codes must be used within 48 hours of receipt.

If you still prefer the cinema experience, Vue is running two for one cinema tickets throughout March. Alternatively, you can take a look at our guide on how to get free and cheap cinema tickets
