I get annoyed when I hear of businesses being hacked and passwords stolen. I wrote a database system for an important project. It had a password front page. Passwords were encrypted using a system that produced a result that could not be decrypted! This encrypted password was stored within the system. If a password was entered, its encrypted result was compared with the file in the system. If the system was hacked, all they got was a file of encrypted data! Why don’t today’s techies use this procedure. The internet would be a lot safer!

I try not to keep password information on a computer. Eventually it will be hacked. I write them in a small book. I keep this book hidden “In plain sight”..
