Oink Energy: new supplier promises simple energy deals

New independent energy supplier Oink Energy launches, promising simple energy tariffs.

Oink Energy, a new energy brand from independent supplier Green Energy, has launched today.

The firm promises a a straightforward approach to gas and electricity in the form of one simple, dual fuel tariff, payable by direct debit.

The company’s mission statement outlines how it claims to be different to other providers. It promises that you can speak to a named person within 30 seconds of calling, getting an email response to your query on the same working day.

Guides will also be provided to help customers reduce their energy consumption. 

Oink has put a lot of weight into some research carried out earlier this year by ComRes. It surveyed 2,000 people and found that:

As you can see, Oink Energy is more expensive than its independent competitors by quite a long way, and that's not even the maximum price. In some areas the annual cost on Oink shoots up to £1,198 a year, making it more expensive than even some of the biggest providers.
