One of the nice things about working for loveMONEY is the quality of debate you can find in the comments section.

On most other sites, it's nothing more than a long stream of racist, sexist, rage on a page.

Here, you're far more likely to get practical help or at the very least a coherent response explaining why someone disagrees with you.

Having such decent commentators is a big help for us – you give us more topics to write about for a start –  but more importantly you help us decide which in which direction the site should be moving.

When I arrived a couple of years ago, we decided to move away from solely writing news to instead focus on more in-depth guides, life strategies, motivational articles and opinion pieces.

We came to that decision in part because of the feedback we received from readers.
