Win back up to £10,000 with M&S Bank over the festive period.
M&S Credit Card customers will automatically be entered into a prize draw to win back the cost of Christmas this winter.
Cardholders get one entry into the draw, where the winner will receive back their festive spend (up to £10,000), with every purchase on their M&S Credit Card between now and 31st December. New borrowers taking out a card before 31st December will receive an additional five entries.
The M&S credit card is one of the best around for purchases, offering a 19-month 0% period. It also charges no interest on balance transfers for 15 months, with a 2.9% transfer fee.
All M&S borrowers earn one point for every pound spent in M&S and one point for every £2 spent elsewhere as standard. M&S Premium Current Account customers using an M&S Credit Card earn three points for every £1 spent at M&S. Points are automatically converted into M&S vouchers and sent to customers each quarter.
Getting rewarded for your Christmas spending
The M&S credit card isn't the only one that offers the prospect of a bumper reward for your spending this Christmas.
If you're looking for cashback, there's the American Express Platinum Cashback Everyday Credit Card. You can get 5% cashback on purchases up to £2,000 for the first three months, capped at £100. After that you earn up to 1.25%, depending on how much you spend.
There's plenty of other cashback cards worth a look. Read The best cashback credit cards for more.
Or what about a reward credit card? The Tesco 17-month Purchase Card will dish out 1,000 Clubcard points (equivalent to £10) when you purchase within the first two months of taking out the credit card. It also comes with a 17-month 0% period.
For Nectar points, try the Sainsbury’s Bank 18-Month Nectar Purchase Credit Card. It gives you two points for every pound spent in-store and on fuel while you’ll get a point for every £5 spent elsewhere. As the name suggests it doesn't charge interest on purchases for a year and a half.
Then there's the British Airways American Express Credit Card which gives you one Avios (what used to be Airmiles) for every £1 spent. You can get 3,000 bonus Avios when you spend £500 within the first three months at the moment, too.
For a bumper deal, there’s the American Express Preferred Rewards Gold charge card. You could earn 20,000 bonus Membership Reward points when you spend over £2,000 in the first three months of opening the card. These points can be exchanged for a £100 gift card from the likes of Boots and House of Fraser or a flight to Europe with only taxes and charges to pay. What's more, the card is fee free for the first year.
If you do decide to opt for a rewards credit card this Christmas, just make sure that you can afford the repayments in full every month. Otherwise, any interest that builds up will outweigh any benefits you get out of the credit card.
