Get 10 Nectar points for every litre of fuel at Sainsbury's

Supermarket reckons deal is equivalent to cash discount of 5p per litre.

Sainsbury’s is trying to lure customers to the pumps with a tempting new Nectar offer. For the whole of October you can collect 10 Nectar points for every litre of fuel you buy at Sainsbury’s.

Normally, customers get one Nectar point for every litre of fuel they buy. The extra Nectar points are the equivalent of a 5p a litre fuel discount and with no limit on fill ups you could really save some money.

"This is one of the biggest points giveaways we have ever done and will really boost our customers’ Nectar balances in the run up to Christmas,” says Avishai Moor, Sainsbury’s head of fuel. “We know that fuel can be a big expense, so we are happy to be able to reward motorists in this way.”

[SPOTLIGHT]It's an interesting twist on the fuel price wars that supermarkets have engaged in this year, with a succession of price cuts in recent weeks.
