Halifax, Bank of Scotland, Lloyds and Barclaycard launch top new offers.

Competition in the 0% balance transfer credit card market is heating up once again, with Barclaycard fighting back against new deals from Halifax, Bank of Scotland and Lloyds Bank.

On Thursday Halifax, Bank of Scotland and Lloyds each came out with new 35-month 0% credit cards.

The most competitive was the 35-month deal launched by Halifax as it offered a 2.8% fee on balance transfers, compared to 3% from the Bank of Scotland and Lloyds cards.

However, the next day Barclaycard responded by extending the 0% deals on its two of its cards offering the longest interest-free periods. Let's take a look at how the best buy table now looks.
