Is your fixed energy tariff ending at the end of February?

There are 12 tariffs coming to an end, and customers could see their bills jump.

There are 12 fixed energy tariffs ending on 28th February, affecting some British Gas, EDF, npower and Scottish Power customers.

And if they do nothing those people will be moved onto their company's standard tariff, which could lead to a sharp increase in their energy bills.

As you can see, in the case of 11 of the 12 tariffs moving onto the standard tariff will mean an increase of anything from £15 to £117 a year for the average user. So if you’re a big energy user, that increase will be even more significant.

Remember that not all these tariffs will be cheapest in your area, which is why is so important to shop around. But they give you an idea of the savings you might be able to make.
