The banks and building societies open this Easter bank holiday

Banks including Barclays, NatWest, Royal Bank of Scotland and Metro Bank will be opening certain branches over the Easter bank holiday weekend.
Sometimes you simply need to visit a bank branch- even on a bank holiday. If that is the case this Good Friday (April 14) or Easter Monday (April 17), don't panic.
Some banks will actually open certain branches, albeit with slightly reduced hours.
Here is what you need to know.
RBS and NatWest
Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS) and NatWest will be opening just 12 branches across the UK over the bank holiday weekend.
Six of NatWest’s branches will be open from 11am to 4pm on Easter Monday. These are:
- Birmingham Grand Central;
- Nottingham City;
- Centre Milton Keynes;
- Norwich Gentleman's Walk;
- Canary Wharf Crossrail (open 11am-3pm);
- Stratford City (open 11am-3pm).
Meanwhile RBS will have seven of its busiest branches open on April 14, from 10am to 2pm. These are:
- Aberdeen St Nicholas;
- Dundee Chief Office;
- Glasgow City;
- Livingston;
- Dunfermline;
- Livingston;
- Edinburgh West End;
- Ayr.
The UBNI in Belfast City Office will also be open on Easter Monday from 10am-1pm.
Barclays
Barclays will have some branches open on Good Friday and Easter Monday, but opening times will vary.
Use the branch finder to see when the nearest branches are open.
Metro Bank
All Metro Bank branches will be open on Good Friday and Easter Monday from 11am-5pm.
The bank opens seven days a week, 362 days a year and branches only close on New Year’s Day, Easter Sunday and Christmas Day.
Santander
The only Santander branch to open on Good Friday and Easter Monday is the one at the Bluewater shopping mall in Kent, from 10am-6pm.

Other major banks
HSBC, Lloyds Banking Group and TSB will remain fully closed over the Bank Holiday weekend.
