How to boost your Tesco Clubcard points haul

Updated on 16 July 2025

As Tesco offers shoppers the chance to turn £5 in Clubcard points into a £20 voucher, we look at how you can make the most of your rewards.

Grab an extra £10 in free points with Days Out deals

At present, Clubcard members can pocket £10 worth of free points (or 1,000 points) this Summer by exchanging their existing vouchers through one of Tesco’s Days Out Reward Partners.

There are more than 100 Days Out providers across the UK, such as Highland Safaris in Scotland and the Eden Project in Cornwall.

Other big names include Alton Towers Resort and Legoland Windsor.

To bag your 1,000 points worth £10, all you need to do is exchange at least £5 of Clubcard vouchers at one of these Day Out attractions by 29 July.

Points will be credited to eligible Clubcard accounts by 19 October, 2025.

Remember that Clubcard points can be exchanged for vouchers worth double their face value at Tesco reward partners, so you can then turn your £10 of free points into £20 worth of rewards!

Triple Clubcard points on Marketplace purchases

As part of a time-limited offer, the retail giant is giving shoppers the chance to earn triple points on purchases made through its Marketplace feature.

These are products from other retailers, including furniture and garden items.

However, they are listed alongside Tesco’s own ranges.

To triple your points, you’ll need to be a Clubcard member and buy through the Marketplace section of Tesco’s website.

Be aware, this offer ends on 22 July.

How does Marketplace work?

All third-party items are marked with a ‘Marketplace’ label on the supermarket’s website and in its app.

The listing will also display the seller’s name, as well as any special delivery instructions.

Marketplace purchases arrive separately from your standard grocery delivery (either by post or courier).

Earn points while charging your electric vehicle

Tesco shoppers can now collect Clubcard points when charging their electric vehicles.

Thanks to a partnership with home-charging service Pod, drivers who sign up to Pod’s all-inclusive home charging subscription can earn a bonus of 2,500 Clubcard points.

This would equate to £25 in-store or £50 with the retailer’s Reward partners.

To access the Pod Drive offer, customers must process their orders through the dedicated offer page on Pod’s website and link their Tesco Clubcard account during sign-up.

How many points can I typically earn?

Outside of special offers, Tesco's flagship loyalty scheme lets you collect one point (worth 1p) for almost every £1 spent at Tesco, in addition to offering discounted prices on selected items.

However, their values double when used with a Tesco Reward partner.

As well as those mentioned above, partners include easyJet holidays, Bloom and Wild and Hotels.com.

If you plan to shop at Tesco, even sporadically, you should definitely make signing up to Clubcard your first priority.

Consider Clubcard Plus

If you regularly shop in-store with the retail giant, it might be worth paying for Clubcard Plus.

It'll set you back just under £8 a month, but you’ll get 10% off all your groceries (in-store only), so if you spend more than £80 a month you'll be quids in.

Pay with the right credit card

Tesco Clubcard credit cards are a great way to earn extra Clubcard points wherever you shop.

You'll generally earn one Clubcard point for every £4 spent in Tesco and one point for every £8 spent outside Tesco.

That's not a huge amount, but crucially, you'll earn these in addition to your Clubcard loyalty points, meaning you could bag a total of five points for every £4 you spend.

Obviously, make sure you clear your debt in full each month or you'll rack up far more costly interest charges.

Get extra points and cut your phone bill

If you're a Tesco Mobile customer, you can earn points when you pay your bill.

With Pay Monthly contracts, you collect a point for every £1 spent on your mobile phone bill. With Pay As You Go, it will be one point for every £1 you top up.

You can also use your accrued points to reduce your bill, with every 100 points saving you £1.

Fuel your motor

You can collect one Clubcard point for every two litres of fuel you buy at a Tesco Petrol Filling Station.

At Esso petrol stations with a Tesco Express, you'll get one point for every £3 you spend on petrol or diesel.

Please note that you can no longer earn Clubcard points at Esso-branded stations where there is no Tesco Express attached.

If you regularly fill up at such a station and it's impractical to go elsewhere, consider signing up to the Nectar scheme instead. It's now partnered with Esso so you may as well earn loyalty points from someone.
