21. Cinderella: $1.3 billion (£967m)
Disney's enchanting fairytale Cinderella graced the silver screen in 1950. The film earned $96.4 million globally, or an impressive $1.3 billion (£967m) today.
Acting as Disney's very own fairy godmother, the movie actually saved the studio from financial ruin. During World War II, many Disney movies flopped at the box office, resulting in Walt Disney Pictures accumulating debts of around $4 million at the time. Fortunately, the success of Cinderella prevented the studio from going bust, and it's still regarded as one of the best animated films of all time.
20. Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs: $1.34 billion (£997m)
The third entry in the Ice Age saga, Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs (2009), is the most successful to date, demonstrating that the franchise still had plenty of life and laughter in the tank.

Zootopia 2 was a box office smash when it debuted in 2025, racking up over $1.86 billion (£1.4bn) at the global box office and becoming Disney's highest-grossing animated movie in the process.
3. The Jungle Book: $2 billion (£1.5bn)
Based on the beloved Rudyard Kipling novel, Disney's The Jungle Book debuted in 1967. It grossed $205 million at the box office, the equivalent of a terrific $2 billion (£1.5bn) today.

China’s Ne Zha 2 (2025) recently shattered box office records, becoming the highest-grossing animated movie of all time, as well as the first to pass the $2 billion (£1.5bn) mark.
Building on the success of its 2019 predecessor, the sequel has earned over $2.26 billion (£1.7bn) globally at the time of writing, making it the top-grossing film of 2025.

1. One Hundred and One Dalmatians: $2.34 billion (£1.7bn)
