Harry Styles' net worth, and how he makes and spends his money
The rise of Harry Styles

Harry Styles has come a long way from his humble beginnings working at a bakery in the sleepy English village of Holmes Chapel, Cheshire. Since finding fame on UK reality TV show The X Factor in 2010, Styles has gone from a baby-faced boy band member to a bona fide solo superstar, racking up a huge fortune in the process.
From roles in blockbuster movies to savvy side businesses, read on to discover how Harry Styles makes his money and how he spends it. All dollar amounts in US dollars.
Harry's got The X Factor

Harry Styles auditioned for British singing competition The X Factor when he was 16 years old. Though he entered as a solo artist, the TV show’s judges combined him with four other hopefuls – Niall Horan, Zayn Malik, Liam Payne, and Louis Tomlinson – to form the boy band One Direction.
One Direction quickly stole the hearts of teen girls and adults alike. Despite their popularity and making it to the final, the band ultimately failed to win the competition, finishing in third place.
However, head judge Simon Cowell saw the group's potential and swiftly signed them to his Syco record label.
One Direction days

One Direction certainly proved they had the "X factor" when their first single, What Makes You Beautiful, reached number one in the UK charts in September 2011.
Already marking himself as the breakout star, Styles sang lead vocals on the catchy pop track. The group's debut album Up All Night was released in November that year and became a bestseller in the UK and the USA.
The band went on to release the albums Take Me Home (2012), Midnight Memories (2013), and Four (2014), which all reached number one on the Billboard 200 music charts. Their final album, Made in the A.M. (2015), peaked at number two. Despite their global success, One Direction announced their shock split in 2015.
Solo star

Fortunately, fans of Harry Styles didn’t have to wait long for his next move and he launched his solo career in spring 2017 with the moody pop-rock ballad Sign of the Times.
His debut self-titled album dropped that same year, reaching number one, while Fine Line, his second studio album, was released in 2019 and featured hits including Watermelon Sugar and Adore You.
The queen of rock 'n' roll herself, Stevie Nicks, gave Styles' sophomore album her seal of approval. "This record means a lot to me," she told Vogue about Fine Line, going on to compare Harry's work to that of the Beatles as well as her own band, Fleetwood Mac.
Critical acclaim

Styles' latest album, the experimental, genre-bending Harry’s House, was released in May 2022. The synth pop-inspired lead single As It Was became a number-one hit, while the jazz and funk-inspired dance track Music for a Sushi Restaurant also proved popular with fans.
The record scored three awards at the 2023 Grammys, with Styles walking away with the awards for Best Pop Vocal Album and the highly coveted Album Of The Year, and his production team winning Best Engineered Album (Non-Classical). The 29-year-old singer-songwriter defeated stiff competition from music icons ABBA, Coldplay, Beyoncé, and Adele to take home the Album Of The Year.
Touring triumphs

As a world-famous musician, a large part of Harry’s fortune comes via touring. Not only did he embark on four world tours with One Direction, but he's also been on two solo tours.
His first, Harry Styles: Live On Tour, commenced in September 2017 and ended in July 2018.
The star is currently on his second world tour, Love On Tour. The mammoth 22-month tour started in September 2021 and is set to wrap in July this year. In January 2022, Styles added extra dates to the UK and European legs of the tour after high fan demand crashed Ticketmaster.
Silver screen star

Having conquered the music industry, Harry is now establishing himself as a movie star too, having made his screen debut in Christopher Nolan’s war epic Dunkirk in 2017.
Last year, he starred in the romantic drama My Policeman and the psychological thriller Don’t Worry Darling, with the latter featuring an all-star cast that included Florence Pugh, Chris Pine, and Olivia Wilde. Wilde also directed the project.
Harry also made a surprise cameo in the 2021 Marvel movie Eternals, playing comic book character Starfox. He’s reportedly inked a five-picture deal with the juggernaut studio worth $100 million (£83m) to play Starfox over a period of 15 years.

A style icon

Heartthrob Harry has further boosted his bank balance by modelling for top brands. He was named an ambassador for Gucci in 2017 and has fronted several campaigns for the luxury fashion house. He also made history as the first man to appear solo on the cover of American Vogue in 2020, iconically posing in a woman’s Gucci ballgown.
In the accompanying interview with the high-end fashion bible, Harry described female clothing as "amazing". Speaking about his infamous gender-fluid style, he said: "Any time you’re putting barriers up in your own life, you’re just limiting yourself."
Harry's savvy side hustle

The business-savvy star launched his very own beauty brand Pleasing in 2021. Pleasing started out as a range of nail polishes and skincare products, though Styles has since "pleased" his fans even more by branching out to offer clothing and accessories.
"I wanted to find a way to explore more ideas and have more opportunities to collaborate with people who were inspiring me; that’s how Pleasing was born," Styles said in a statement about the business. "Starting the brand with beauty felt exciting because creating great products is a unique way to make people feel good."
He's currently estimated to have a net worth of $120 million (£100m).
Now that we've dissected how Harry makes his money, let's delve into how he splashes his hard-earned cash...
Harry's houses

Harry snapped up a home in North London for a cool £3 million ($3.6m) in 2012 (pictured). The star carried out quirky renovations on the 2,300 square foot property, including adding his own private pub, the aptly-named Harry’s Bar.
He purchased a second property on the same street for a hefty £8 million ($9.6m) in 2019 and, the following year, bought the house next door for £4 million ($5m). The neighbouring properties were previously one mansion before being separated into two houses, so Harry presumably plans to transform them into his very own mega-mansion.
Stateside homes

Harry's also snapped up a number of Stateside homes over the years, starting with a mansion in Beverly Hills, Los Angeles, that he bought for $4 million (£2.4m) in 2014. Just two years later, he upgraded to a more lavish property on the Sunset Strip worth $6.9 million (£4.7m), which is pictured here.
A year later, Harry put his sprawling LA mansion on the market to move to New York City. He currently owns an $8.7 million (£7m) Tribeca penthouse in the Big Apple, where he counts Justin Timberlake, Ryan Reynolds, and Blake Lively among his famous neighbours.
Despite his impressive property portfolio, Styles rents too, and was reportedly spending $10,000 (£8k) a month for a home in Los Angeles with his ex-girlfriend Olivia Wilde prior to their split in November 2022.
Jet-setting Styles

Harry enjoys lavish vacations around the world, often holidaying with a number of famous friends. He was spotted aboard a luxury yacht in St. Barts alongside Kendall Jenner, Ellen DeGeneres, and Portia de Rossi in 2016, for example, and took another tropical island trip to Anguilla with fellow Brits Adele and James Corden in 2020.
In 2021, he went on a romantic getaway to Italy with then-girlfriend Olivia Wilde. The couple stayed at the five-star boutique hotel Il Pellicano in Tuscany (pictured), where a room reportedly costs around $3,500 (£3k) per night.
The duo jetted off to the European country again the following year, with a source revealing to US Weekly: "Olivia and Harry love going to Italy together. They both love the food, the people, the architecture, everything."
Car collection

Harry has been spotted behind the wheel of some pretty pricey cars over the years, including a Ferrari California, an Audi R8 Couple, a Range Rover Sport (pictured), and a Tesla Model X.
He’s also a classic car enthusiast, and his collection includes a Jaguar E-Type Roadster, a Ferrari Dino 246 GTS, a classic Mercedes-Benz 230SL, and a 1973 Ford Capri. Last November, Styles was seen shopping for a Ferrari 812 Superfast, which can retail for around $350,000 (£293k).
Art investments

Harry is an art enthusiast, and his collection of paintings and sculptures is reportedly worth over $240,000 (£200k). Among his impressive collection is a $16,000 (£13k) lamp created by artists Joe Armitage and Thomas Campbell with the jewellery designer Dominic Jones, as well as over 20 works by pop artist Hayden Kays that have set him back around $33,000 (£27.6k). This is a photo of a work by Kays.
Harry reportedly displays his costly collection in his London home and wanted one of his favourite street artists – either Banksy or Bambi – to paint a mural within the property.
An entire wall mural by Bambi would cost a five-figure-sum, but an insider close to the star told the Daily Star that this wouldn't phase Harry as the star knows "how precious art is as an investment".
Custom-made clothes

The fashionable Mr. Styles is always seen sporting luxury clothing designed by the likes of Marc Jacobs and Gucci. As an ambassador for the latter brand, he's worn a number of custom gender-fluid outfits by the fashion house while performing on tour recently.
Harry reportedly keeps his costumes for concerts and music videos in a clothing archive vault in London, which is under 24-hour surveillance. The vault reportedly costs him more than $5,000 (£4k) every year for maintenance and security.
Round-the-clock security

Harry had a horrifying experience in 2020 when he was robbed at knifepoint in London.
Recounting his terrifying experience to US talk show host Howard Stern, Styles recalled: "They all kind of gathered around me... I pull[ed] out some cash, and he takes it from me." The men also tried to steal Harry's phone but he was able to flee to safety before they could get it.
Styles went on to hire Mick Jagger's bodyguard and now has round-the-clock security to keep him safe, which he reportedly spends around $1 million (£834k) on annually.
Harry's big heart

Though Harry treats himself to flashy cars and designer clothes, he's also incredibly generous with his millions.
The big-hearted star has donated to dozens of charities over the years, including Help Refugees, Amnesty International, and Save the Children. And when an explosion rocked Lebanon in 2020, leaving tens of thousands homeless, Styles donated and raised over $8.1 million (£7m) to help those in need.
Proceeds from his Treat People With Kindness merchandise range (pictured) were also donated to good causes, and he raised $1.2 million (£1m) for 62 charities around the globe from his 2017 world tour.
