Finders but not keepers

Finding hidden treasure can bring glory, and often riches too. But sometimes treasure-hunting comes with a catch. 

From the homeowners that found a treasure in the walls of their new home to the metal detectorists who hid a Viking hoard from the authorities, these treasure-hunters – or sometimes treasure thieves – didn't hold onto their finds for long and soon had to give them back.
