Spectacular scammers

Despite the havoc they wreak, the fraudsters at the centre of famous cases tend to fascinate the public. In recent years, a slew of documentaries have illuminated some of history's most infamous con artists, with Apple Cider Vinegar (pictured) – a series about the Australian health fraudster Belle Gibson – the latest to get the Netflix treatment.
