Samuel L. Jackson tops the Jurassic Park money list with room to spare. In the 1993 original, he portrayed Ray Arnold, the park's chief engineer, whose "hold onto your butts" line became one of the film's most quoted lines.

Jackson's estimated $250 million (£189m) fortune reflects one of the most prolific careers in Hollywood. Pulp Fiction made him a star in the 1990s, Star Wars introduced him to a new generation as Mace Windu and Marvel turned Nick Fury into another long-running blockbuster role.
