Sarah discovered Rod Stewart was her biological dad when she was in her teens, although the pair didn't build a close relationship until 2007, following the deaths of Sarah's adoptive parents.

Speaking about her bond with Stewart, Sarah said in a 2018 interview with The Mirror: "Our relationship has evolved a lot in the last few years. It's taken its time because he's not just my dad, is he? He's a big star. So, of course, that makes it difficult. But over the years it has become much more relaxed, and now he's just dad to me."

Sarah, who lives with her husband Chris in the UK, reportedly works as a carer. However, she's revealed her dad helps her out financially by paying her a cash lump sum each year, explaining to the Daily Mail in 2018: "I didn’t ask for it. It just happened... It’s not life-changing money, but it helps, and it came at exactly the right time."
