Following George's death in 2001, Dhani launched his professional music career by finishing his father's last album Brainwashed, and promptly won a Grammy for one of the songs.

He went on to form the digi-rock band Thenewno2, enjoyed a successful stint as a composer and has also released solo albums.

The richest of all the Beatles children, Dhani was a major beneficiary of his father's multimillion-dollar estate, along with his mother. Sources calculate his fortune to be in the region of $300 million (£227m).
