After Bond, Connery enjoyed a hugely successful career, establishing himself as one of the most iconic actors of all time. In 2000, he was knighted for his contributions to the arts.

Standout roles in his filmography include Highlander (1986), Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade (1989) and The Hunt for Red October (1990). Notably, he won an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor for his work in The Untouchables (1987).

Connery died in 2020 at the age of 90. At the time of his death, he was worth an incredible $350 million, the equivalent of $440 million (£329m) in today's money.
