As Dothraki warlord Khal Drogo, Jason Momoa grunted his way through the first season of GOT. His pay at the time was relatively modest, and he has spoken about struggling to pay rent after his character was killed off. How times have changed.

Momoa has since become one of Hollywood's hottest and highest-earning action stars. He reportedly banked $3 million (£2.2m) for 2018's Aquaman and a whopping $15 million (£11.2m) for the 2023 sequel, plus $12 million (£9m) for A Minecraft Movie.

On top of that, Momoa, who heads his own production company, has money-spinning endorsement deals with Chime, Guinness, and Harley-Davidson.
