Measuring in at 262 feet (80m) with a top speed of 29 knots, Project Cosmos by Heesen Yachts should be ready for launch in April 2022. It's on course to be the world's "largest and fastest full-aluminium motoryacht" according to its creators. While the boat's price remains a mystery, one thing is for sure: it won't come cheap.

The vessel boasts a range of stunning features including a helicopter pad that converts into an outdoor cinema, a beach club with a sunken walk-around bar, and a 23-foot (7m) pool that comes complete with contra-jets, a waterfall, and a glass bottom. The yacht has capacity for up to 12 guests, with further space for 19 crew members.

Naturally, the interior of Project Cosmos is just as lavish as the exterior, if not more so.

Designed by Sinot Yacht Architecture & Design, the living areas are inspired by nature and mathematics including the Fibonacci sequence. Backlit onyx, straw marquetry, and sparkling crystal glass panels are among the opulent materials used in the design, with the overall look slick, modern, and elegant.

Perhaps the most impressive feature of Project 24207 is the amazing 800-square-foot (75-square-metre) wellness centre (pictured) located on the main deck.

The area can be customised to include a range of relaxation options, including a jacuzzi, sauna, gym, massage or beauty room, showers, and a juice bar. How dreamy!

While information on the 255-feet (77.8m) Custom Amels 78 is scarce, we do know this: the superyacht is one of the largest projects ever undertaken by Amels.

Set to be delivered in 2022, the contract for this ambitious vessel was signed at the 2017 Monaco Yacht Show. The buyer chose Espen Øino and his team to oversee the exterior, while the team at Nice-based Zuretti Interior Designers was selected to transform the interior.

And of course, as a vessel that screams adventure, the exterior of this superyacht features a helipad. If you're wondering who's behind the movie-worthy aesthetic, by the way, Azure Yacht Design worked on the exterior and Design Unlimited oversaw the interior.

Beneath the helipad is a bow point observation lounge, a luxury cabana-style outdoor lounge with folding balconies, and an infinity-edge pool. As for the upper deck, you’ll find an open sky lounge, a dining area, and a jacuzzi. The interior boasts six suites for 12 guests. There's also room for 18 crew members too.

Y721: $500 million (£377.1m)

It looks like Jeff Bezos may be swapping space exploration for the Seven Seas in 2022, if this 417-feet (127m) superyacht, reportedly commissioned by him, is anything to go by. Although with a cost upward of $500 million (£377.1m), we wonder if this ultra-expensive vessel might be able to explore both...

Known only as Y721, the megaproject has been described as “one of the finest sailing yachts in existence” and is being crafted by Dutch yacht builder Oceanco. Once completed, it's tipped to be the largest sailing yacht in the world.
