Today, Lynnewood Hall is a shadow of its former self. The abandoned mansion has been empty since the 1950s, and in 2014 a restoration architect estimated it would take around $50m (£39m) to restore it to its former glory. In 2023, it was purchased by the recently established  Lynnewood Hall Preservation Foundation for $9 million (£7.1m).
