Americans sure love accumulating possessions and, according to professional organizer Regina Lark, the typical home in the country contains a bewildering 300,000 items. A third of the US population has experienced “extreme anxiety” over clutter and nearly two-thirds (63%) admit they have too many belongings, a survey by selling app Mercari.
