Astonishing items from the doomed ship

Arguably the most famous shipwreck of all time, the ill-fated Titanic collided with an iceberg in the late hours of 14 April 1912. The disaster claimed the lives of some 1,500 of its 2,240 passengers.

Over the years, treasures telling the story of those passengers – both those who survived and those who tragically lost their lives – have been recovered. Read on to discover some of the most spectacular and valuable pieces from the tragic ship, including a letter from a survivor that's just broken auction records.

All dollar values in US dollars and currency conversions correct at the time of sale.
