Rick Davis, owner of Rick's Restorations, the antique restoration store in Nevada, USA, featured in the History Channel's reality TV show American Restorations, spent a mere $100 ($£78) for an worn out antique toy locomotive dating back to the 1950s. Discovering that this ride-on train was a limited edition produced specially for the Popsicle company, and train enthusiasts will pay big bucks to own one, Davis and his team got to work. The locomotive got a full restoration while the cars and track were replicated and custom built to look exactly like the originals. Following weeks of work, he sold the set for $4,000 (£3,100).
