Irish actors Domhnall and Brendan Gleeson may both have appeared in the Harry Potter franchise, but Brendan's son Domhnall's net worth is now around $1 million more than his famous father's, at an estimated $5 million. The younger Gleeson starred in a number of smaller projects before getting his big break as Bill Weasley in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, in which his father also appeared as Alastor 'Mad Eye' Moody. 

Domhnall then went on to star as General Hux in the three Star Wars 'Skywalker saga' sequels. He also played author AA Milne in Goodbye Christopher Robin and Mr Jeremy Fisher/Mr Thomas McGregor in Peter Rabbit. Domhnall has continued to work with his father and fellow actor brother Brian on a number of stage and screen projects. 

Singer-songwriter Rufus Wainwright just edges his father, with his net worth rumored to be sitting around the $10 million mark, ahead of his country musician father Loudon Wainwright III's suspected net worth of $8 million. Also the son of a folk singer mother, Kate McGarrigle, Rufus's musical talent became obvious as a teenager and he released his debut studio album in 1998. He is one of several musicians to have braved releasing new music during the pandemic – his tenth studio album titled Unfollow the Rules came out in July.

In addition to being an acclaimed contemporary pop singer, Rufus has also made his mark in the world of classical music. Matthew "Matty" Healy is said to be worth $15 million thanks to his role as lead vocalist for band The 1975, which is considerably higher than his actress and TV presenter mother Denise Welch's rumored $2 million. The four band members met as teenagers at school in Cheshire, England, near where Healy grew up with his mother and his actor father Tim Healy. 

The 1975, so named after Healy found the words "1 June, The 1975" on the back of a beat poetry book, put out four EPs before releasing their self-titled album in 2013. It went straight in at number one in the UK charts and has since gone platinum. Every album since has reached number one on the UK charts and the band has also enjoyed success around the world. Former New Girl star Zooey Deschanel was thought to have a net worth of $4 million in 2014, according to Forbes, with other sources reporting that she is currently worth around $25 million. With a cinematographer father Caleb, and actress mother Mary Jo, it was perhaps inevitable that she would move into showbiz. After securing a supporting role in Almost Famous in 2000, Deschanel went on to become famous for comedy roles in films including Elf and (500) Days of Summer. 

Deschanel has also seen some success as a singer, teaming up with M Ward to form group She & Him and releasing several albums. In addition, the multi-talented artist was one of the people behind the founding of women-focused site Hello Giggles. All these projects have contributed to her having a higher net worth than her Academy Award-nominated father Caleb (pictured), who is rumored to be worth $10 million.

Emma Thompson is one of the UK's most accomplished actors and screenwriters, with an estimated net worth of $38 million. Daughter of fellow actor Phyllida Law, Thompson has won Academy Awards and BAFTAs for both her lead role in 1992 film Howard's End and her screenplay for Jane Austen adaptation Sense and Sensibility three years later.

What is certain is that the Oscar-winning Shakespeare In Love actor has had a more lucrative career than her actor mother Blythe Danner, who is thought to be worth $45 million. 

Paltrow said that she divides her movies into those she does for love and those she does for money. Reality TV star, model and entrepreneur Kylie Jenner is worth a whopping $900 million, thanks in large part to her make-up brand, Kylie Cosmetics. The youngest member of the Kardashian clan, her net worth now far surpasses that of her mother Kris Jenner, who had an estimated net worth of $37.5 million in 2018, according to Forbes.  

Jenner first hit the big time with her mother and the rest of their family on the hit E! reality TV show Keeping Up with the Kardashians in 2007, which it was recently announced will end after 14 years.
