    It may interest you to know that spaghetti aglio e olio (garlic, oil, chilli) has zero to do with that recipe con man Carluccio who has basically taken most of his recipes from the traditions, centuries old, of the S of Italy. Go to Naples and you can have wonderful "aglio e olio" in every restaurant from top to bottom and they've never had the benefit, or even heard of, A Carluccio and "his" recipe.

    Scrap bowl to save journeys to the bin? I looked at the photo and saw a bowl of scraps for the stock pot, not the compost heap! OK, some aren't fit for making stock; but most are, and they only get thrown after I've wrung all the flavour I can out of them!
