What should I do with the Phishing e-mail rubbish I continue to receive?

Today's included a purported Lloyds Bank e-mail telling me that my account had been suspended. I forwarded it to: emailscams@lloydstsb.co.uk and to reports@banksafeonline.org.uk and then deleted it. I have done this dozens of times without any acknowledgement. Am I wasting my time? Is anybody dealing with this problem? I also get my share of e-mails offering me a share of a deceased beneficiary's funds, or telling me I have won first prize in an un-entered lottery. What should I do with these? Do the Police want them? I also get e-mails offering me loans from unregulated and dubious organisations. I know the FSA does not do anything useful but surely it should be interested in this sort of thing.
