What's your favoured online money management tool? (Need to dump Egg...)

I have loyally stuck it out with Egg for years now, as much as anything because of the excellent online aggregator, which allows me to check most of my accounts with only one simple secure log in.

Sadly, over the last couple of years, Egg's terms and rates have gone from great to rubbish. I dumped my Egg Money card last year and now I'm going to have to dump the credit card too.

What do I replace Egg Money Manager with? Ideally it would be online, free, and capable of checking not only bank accounts (LloydsTSB), but my investments (LandG) and even my PtP loans (Zopa) too.

Thanks in advance for your help :)

I use www.cardsproject.com, good piece of software and easy to use.

Hmmm... I've always considered account aggregators an unacceptable security risk (based on the 'eggs-in-one-basket' principle). As for cardsproject.com, the site doesn't even use encryption.

I use Yodlee's site (it's free) at www.yodlee.com. I've used it for a few years now. As you'll see from the website its a US company but there are sites starting to appear in the UK now e.g. Kublax www.kublax.com

I agree with the last comment on security. The cardsproject site has very little info about the company and is not a secure site. The Yodlee site has quite a bit of info on security etc if you want to know how they're looking after your info.

I have been looking for a UK version of mint.com for a while now but haven't managed to find anything I truly like. I found a company called Money Dashboard that are new to the UK market through Google

I've just signed up for their Beta at www.moneydashboard.com

They have had quite a lot of good press recently and are considered to be the UK version of mint.com

Looking forward to getting started and sorting my finances out at long last!

    Hello,

Not sure if you ever found an answer to this, I had my own query as I use MS Money but the lack of updates are beginning to become a restriction. I’ve dabbled with Excel but it’s a little dull and doesn’t really help spot trends.

I wonder if there are any plans out there for MS to update, rebuild, relaunch MS Money? Are there any alternatives other than those suggested?

I keep hearing about MoneyVista, which is at present free, does anyone here use them? Any good?

    Anyone have any other ideas?

    Hi JR85,

Why don't you give lovemoney.com's own money management tool a try? It's called MoneyTrack and it now has a mobile app too.

This article tells you more about it.
