Which banks accept an Enduring Power of Attorney when opening a current/savings account?

I have an Enduring Power of Attorney (EPA) for my father, which is registered with the courts. I want to be able to open a current and savings account for him, which I can manage via the internet. Does anybody know which banks accept EPAs for this purpose?

They all should, provided you present them with the legal paperwork.

Lloyds Bank told me that even with a PoA (which I have) and/or their own per pro authority, they do not allow operation of the bank accounts on-line or by telephone. Only written instructions will do.

This was from their Isle of Man offshore centre. Of course it's up to you whether you mention that you will be operating the account online... Your onlince asscession would of course in most cases be traceable, but, given the existence of the PoA, I don't suppose the penalty would be anything more harsh than closure of the account.
