How to I apply to get my House banding changed?

I believe that I pay too much community charge because my house has been banded as an E, whereas my neighbours with almost identical houses are banded as D. Is there somewhere on your site I can get advice on this matter?

to learn what you are up against go to official and very helpful valuation agency site : http://www.voa.gov.uk/ My experience was based on well founded research and obvious comparison with lower next-door band. I quoted actual 1992 house prices. The rating office came back saying they had different , higher figures based "secret" information that they could not reveal under the data protection act. Catch 22?

Hmm! Tread carefully. My guess is that if you make a fuss the most likely outcome is that your neighbour will be moved into band E.
