Income tax on house rental

Hi All, I am on a high tax rate (40%) and we (myself and my wife) have another house (joint ownership) which is currently under buy to let mortgage. I currently pay the tax for my part of the rental income and my wife does not file any tax return since she does not work (and won't be working in near future). The monthly rent is getting paid into my wife's account (not a joint account) and she is mentioned as the landlord in the rental agreement. The rental money is maintained in her own account only and we have the records to prove. So, the question is should I continue to file the tax return for the rental income? Or is it no longer required since it is paid to my wife and she keeps the rental income in her account. Many thanks for your answer.
