Yes, I had the money back from KE by the end of business Friday, with an extra payment which I think represented accrued interest. It was an anxious week (I had £££££ in limbo) but now it sits in my Halifax account.
I have left a fair sum in the KE account (under the £50K limit), as (a) I think ING is probably as safe as HBOS, (b) I don't want to have any more money stuck in the ether, and will wait until things calm down a bit before transferring any more and (c) they are still paying 6.5%!
I keep a lot of wood to hand, though, for touching at need.
