What will be the real percentage increase on Orange discounted contracts?

I have a £15.50 monthly contract discounted to £10.50 when I took it out for 12 months, my price increase letter says my contract is increasing by £0.51 per month and my new bills will show a contract price of £16.01. So after discounting will the price to me show an actual 3.3% increase or nearer 5%.

The contract price is going up by 3.3% but you will be paying 5% extra until the end of the discount period.

That assumes that the discount you receive is £5.00 per month regardless If the discount was a % of the contract price then you should see an increase to the discount.
