Can I still receive freeview channels through my Sky dish?

I have recently given notice to cancel my Sky TV subscription as the monthly payment was getting too much (£42.50 for Entertainment & Sports package).

When I contacted them they said I do not have to return the box or dish.

After the cancellation will I still have a signal to watch basic freeview channels such as BBC, ITV, C4, C5 etc?

With your two companies to run, your sole trader business to deal with and your full time job to do, you will not have any time left to watch telly, so I would not worry about it.

Strange though that with all those jobs you cannot afford sky,....do you need debt advice perhaps?

Freeview is the terrestial equivalent. Look up Freesat if you have the time from everything else.

It befits me just fine thank you. Why don't you ask real questions instead of ones that cannot possibly apply to you if all you post is the truth?

And you would know Joe, what does and doesn't apply to me? It's your patronising attitude that makes people lose 'faith' in humankind. Afterall, what makes you the arbitrator in such matters. I would suggest, if you can't say something positive then don't say anything at all!

As you well know, I have always been polite and respectful in all my posts on this forum. I think it is the least I should expect in return.

Your posts may be polite, but you are asking so many questions as if they come from you but the content of them can't possibly be all from one person.

You also don't very often thank us for answers and almost never clicked the love button. Our answers have obviously not been what you wanted, so there is no point in answering your questions.

A simple search of the Internet suggests that you can, you can also purchase a Sky freesat card for around £25 which will provide you with additional channels. Without being rude could I ask why you don't research a simple subject like this before resorting to L.M. as your number and variety of questions already do create their share of "observations".

I take on board your point about not thanking you often enough! I appreciate that you have taken time to read the question and attempted to answer it. So I will, in future, try to give credit where credit is due.

With regards to the variety of questions - I'm sure, i've said in the past, that not all the questions relate to myself but that some relate to friends (who may not be computer literate or know where to go for the information). As far I know there is no limit to the number of questions one can ask or that they have to relate to the questioner.

Hope that clarifies the situation a little and that you will not all be hasty in forming judgements!!

    All the best!!!

Might I suggest that you don't keep asking these questions as if they relate to you, if they don't. If they are for someone else, then say so. You have been causing a lot of confusion because your questions have been inconsistent.
