    What affect will the gender Directive have on Life Insurance ? Should we all review our policies before December?

    There is a lot of information out there on this but not enough people are aware of it.

    @asksally So far as Life Assurance is concerned, men should wait because their rates should fall, but don't expect by much. Rates for women should rise significantly, so they should review their requirements now. Joint Life First Death policies for heterosexual couples shouldn't change significantly unless the woman is more than about 6 years older than the man - they are based predominantly on which is expected to die first. Other protection policies based on death, or critical illness, should be likewise.
