6I did this a couple of months ago. The best way is to go to Companies House website
http://www.companieshouse.gov.uk
where an off-the-peg company (articles and memoranda) costs £18, yes £18, one off cost. All the forms are on the website. It was so easy I couldn't believe it. Agents will do it for you for a fee but I think you should save the money for a bottle of champagne to celebrate your incorporation.

0Even easier.
Go to www.theformationscompany.com
£4.99 for the entire process including all share certificates, articles, memoranda etc.
Company formation takes less that two hours. Great customer service too.

33Will need £1 per shareholder too. Total setup for us was twenty quid.
Only problem we had was searching our name, and dealing with the query that the computer can't tell the difference between a Chemist and an Alchemist. Sorted as soon as a human could get to it though.

13The only problem we had was the large amount of paper work, keeping good accounts and minutes etc.
Best bit was were able to claim petrol expenses *from our front door* - it added up to a tidy sum!
Oh, Board Meetings held between Wife and I at 10AM Saturdays - over coffee...
Good luck!
