I have received notification of overpayment since 2006 to 2010. Am I entitled to the full amount owing now?

I have only received a cheque for the year 2009-10 to date but wish all the monies owing (around £8,000) to be paid asap. Am I entitled to demand this?

You don't need to demand. Just give them a friendly ring and ask when the rest is coming. If there is a problem, they will let you know what it is.

Thanks for your response, however, have you tried ringing recently? When I did the response time was about 30 mins, the person who I spoke to had an unhelpful attitude, their system was down - what a nightmare. Think I'll write a letter!

Try a different time of day. Like everywhere else, there are peaks in the day when it takes time but it can be quicker at other times.
