An IFA has recommended I consolidate my £54K pensions into an Aegon pension investing in SE Newton Balanced Managed. Any advice please?

I have come across these negative reviews: http://www.reviewcentre.com/reviews57213.html The management charge is low and the fund choice is wide but I'm concerned if their customer service isn't good and there are problems when it comes to paying out! I'd be interested in knowing if anyone has any experience of Aegon. Thank you.
