How do I manage a stocks and shares isa?
I don't understand how stocks and shares ISA's really, or am at least missing the point. Experts say you are supposed to have them for five years to ride the market ups and downs. However, if a fund within your portfolio shoots up to say 14 per cent profit, should I take some cash out to crystallize the gain - or would that cause longer-term problems?
