Can you add to a final salary pension after redundancy?
My other half will soon be made redundant from a job that came with a final salary pension that both he and his emplyer have been contributing to. He also has other pensions from previous employments. I assume that the the final salary it pays out on will be the salary he is on upon redundancy if the pension is frozen at that point. But, will it be possible to keep the pension live as a personal pension and still keep contributing to it, without it changing from a final salary scheme? And what should he do with his other pensions?
