Q&A

Answer a question

18 January 2011

I have a pension sharing order [ex-spouse of serving army officer'.) I applied 3 months ago to claim it and my lump sum on my 55th birthday.

I phoned the Armed Forces Pension Agency today only to be told that all pensions are 'on hold.' The PSO transfer took place on 29th dec 2009 and I received a letter from them in May 2010 detailing what my pension would be etc. Today I was advised that letters had been sent out to people but I never received any info. about this change! Can they do this? I was expecting to receive the lump sum this month and for the pension to start being paid in February. I would be grateful for any advice. Thank you.
