Marriage and Government pension.

HI, I have worked for 37 years for Social services and can draw my Government pension when I am just over 61 years of age which will be May 2012 My husband was 60 in 2010 As I am married, will I have a pension in my own right or will my husband and I get the married persons rate? If I only get the married persons rate then this seems unfair due to the amount of years I have worked and been the breadwinner for the family. BTW Both my husband and I have over the minimum amout of years to qualify for a pension.
