With the Emerge (www.emerge-solar.fr.gd) and connectiong public transport (www.brightconnections.fr.gd) we have a UK wide (and global) zero emissions travel system that also supports public transport provision and makes the roads safer for everyone. How can I access the government 5000 pound electric vehicle subsidy and so roll out this concept to all and create millions of UK jobs and save everyone money ?

You can't save everyone money - every £5000 subsidy is borrowed by the government to pay you, and has to be paid back by EVERY taxpayer - us - so you get given by the government and cost all taxpayers £5000 plus interest - Thanks a lot!

Thank you Joe - that is exactly the point - infact the 5000 pounds is not even being given to real green low speed and zero emissions Emerge buyers anyway - as the

Emerge is too safe to qualify due to the safe low speed. The 5000 pounds is just

political pork for Nissan, Renault etc. WHO no doubt - like the banks -

will pay off the politicians later. The solution to the UK problems

would be a fair road tax based simply on the weight of vehicles (heavier

ones damage the roads more) and miles driven. Then it would make sense

to buy small electric cars with out any special government involvement.

Low speed solar powered vehicles are not much use for the large numbers of people who live away from the main cities.

Those who do live in the cities generally have fairly efficient public transport systems and should be encouraged onto them and not subsidised to use their own transport.

My village doesn't have a bus. We do have a train but we are near the end of a branch line so it effectively only goes in one direction. We have to have private transport that has a reasonable speed (not ultra-fast) and will work in all weathers.
