Q&A

Answer a question

12 November 2010

I went on a holiday to Spain, Figueres, from Oct 31 to Sep 9 with my fiance. My bank, Halifax, put American Express checks in my hands -

It turned out that no banks or money change offices or travel bureaus would cash in the checks, and no shops or restaurants ... they had stopped checking them in for more than one year ago because of increasing fraud. - If ever I should overdraw my account with a few pounds the bank contacts me in a hurry, demanding me to pay money for troubling them. They have it as their right to treat their customers that way - what are my rights ?- Could I demand money for my fiancé’s and mine "lost holidays" days ? - Is my rights at same level as the rights of the bank ?
