Lastminute.com say absolutely no refund. Any options?

I recently tried to book a hotel room on Lastminute.com. The transaction had gone through before I realised I had gotten the dates wrong. I now have a booking in January which I will not be able to use. Both lastminute.com and the hotel say the booking is totally non-refundable and non-transferable. Can this really be the case? I accept it's my fault and may not get a full refund but it seems a bit silly that both the hotel and lastminute.com would rather see the room lie empty than try and resell it. Do I have any options? It cost £103 - I booked it on my RBS Mastercard.
