As a student, what kinds of short term borrowing do I have access to?

I'll be returning to university in September to start a PGCE - however it's become clear that my student loans will not be processed and available at the start of my course. I've maxed my overdraft on my flat deposit and first month of rent, so I have to find somewhere I can lend the money for living costs and my rent until - worst case scenario - late October, when my training bursary comes in. I use a student account so am not eligible for a grad loan, and I don't qualify for access to learning funds as I'm not yet fully registered with the uni - it would be late September when I could apply, with processing time on top. I a'm unable to seek financial suppport from family. Please help!
