I agree with lovelinstrom - I've bought a couple of deals and found them pretty good. My only slightly mixed experience was with an offer for a haircut.
When I phoned to book my appointment, the receptionist was very polite until I mentioned the offer and then all of a sudden they were booked solid for the next 2 months. I complained to Groupon and my money was refunded within a couple of days.
