Left British Gas in December am now getting about 4 calls a day, most of which say I urgently need to call an 0800 number etc etc , I'm guessing they are trying to get my business back, wondered if anybody else had experienced this and had actually called the number.

273Have you typed the 0800 number into Google? That way you can see if anyone else has encountered the same thing and what the outcome was - there are specialist forums set up to help people who receive cold calls and aren't sure whether they are genuine.

32Don't think I was clear enough, I know it's British Gas, I just wanted to know if anyone had called the number to see what it was really about, unfortunately I haven't noted the full number having had no intention of calling it.

879 273 32Today I answered one of the calls (they've been coming in on landline and mobile from different numbers) and indeed they did want to tell me they had reduced their prices.
